I get a number of questions about my VIP Boudoir Group, so I thought I’d take a quick second to give you the run down. My VIP Boudoir Group is simply a private closed group (a “club” if you will) that consists of current, past, and future boudoir clients. It’s a safe space for you to ask questions and share inspirational images or stories, to collaborate and bond with other women who are just like you.

When permission is granted, I’ll post a handful of images from my sessions for others to see in this VIP group. The best part is that this turns into an Empowering and Positivity fest in the comments section on each image! I’ll also use this group to post upcoming specialty session dates, specials, and to get feedback on new ideas for my studio regarding locations, props, new products, and even editing styles.

You’ve seen friends post about them, you’ve seen them advertised on Social Media, you’ve even looked up exactly what they are exactly. Maybe you’ve even been interested in taking some boudoir photos but you’re feeling a little hesitation? Trust me – you are not alone. However, there is a trick to finding your way into the comfort zone, and it starts with making sure you find the right Boudoir Photographer for you. There are so many different genres of Boudoir, and so many different styles for editing etc that if you don’t do your homework, you can end up booking someone who is not as skilled in the industry.

How Can Inquiring With a Few Different Boudoir Photographers Make the Process Easier?

Most people will find boudoir photography to be a new and exciting experience that they never imagined could be so freeing.

With this process start by getting to know your desired photographers and learning their style and philosophy. Maybe it’s starting with Boudoir Photographers whom you’ve seen their work already through friends of yours, or maybe you’ve just been drawn to their style of editing.

Here are a few basic questions you can ask during your initial inquiry:

How long have you been doing Boudoir Photography?
Would you say you specialize in Boudoir?
Are you familiar with different body types and how to pose us properly?
Do you have a Professional Hair and Make Up Artist on staff? (Not just a random artist, but someone who does all of their clients consistently - this is very important)
Do you have a Boudoir Studio, or do we rent a hotel, location, do these in my home etc?

The right Boudoir Photographer will answer all of your questions and then some. They should have a gallery of images to show you that fit your body type/size and the style you’re looking to achieve. Keeping in mind of course your true self, and not some over photoshopped image that doesn’t look anything like you once completed. The whole purpose is for you to fall in love with your true self - inside your true image.

Our goal is for you to be 100% comfortable and knowledgeable about your session before your session ever even begins. In fact, you can also rest assured that I want to meet and talk with you as much as you want to meet with me. There are many reasons that sitting down with your photographer before the shoot can be important. Beyond just allowing you to get more comfortable with me, we can also have a chat to discover the real reasons you decided to have these photos taken. Is it because you are trying to reclaim that lost love between you and your partner? Or is it that you always wanted to express that fierceness within you and you are finally ready to come forth and show that fun wild side? Is it simply you’d like to redecorate your vanity area of your home with Marilyn Monroe type images of yourself as a daily pick me up reminder “I look that good”. Which is also great for self awareness and self esteem boost first thing in the morning. What a great way to start your day! I personally love to do Boudoir sessions myself (for myself) at least once a year, I go back and forth on the style, as I love my over-sized off the shoulder sweatshirt with knee high socks, messy bun & a cup of coffee in my hand just as much as I love my more risque sets I’ve done for my husband. Why? Because those images are my true me, my every weekend morning comfort zone me. I love that they have been captured truthfully. Did you know there is also a thing… called Couples Boudoir? That’s right! Grab your significant other and we will capture you two in your intimate moments, these are perfect for those cuddling, laughing, fun times.
